** COVID 19: (updated 3/15/2024)
- Although mask mandates have changed, we ask that you continue to wear masks in the office if you or family are ill, or have known Covid contact. This is to protect those that are vulnerable. Thank you.
- COVID-19 Testing: Recent recommendations have changed as most people have already had Covid illness, Covid vaccine, or both. Testing is still recommended if you are ill or have had exposure and are around people that are more vulnerable. If you've tested positive, it is still recommended to wear a mask for 10 days to prevent spread. However, you can be around others after testing negative, and if you're fever free for over 24 hours with symptoms improving. We continue to have in-office rapid Antigen testing (nasopharyngeal swab)- results after 15 minutes. We also offer PCR testing to be sent out to labs. Please call for an appointment.
- COVID-19 Vaccines: Currently, both the updated Fall 2023 Moderna (2 doses) and Pfizer (3 doses) vaccines are available for younger children (6 mos-5yo for Moderna and 6mos-4yo for Pfizer). If your child has already had a previous series, only one dose of the current vaccine is needed (at least 2 months after last dose). Information for vaccination clinics can be found at VaccinateLACounty.com and www.myturn.ca.gov. MedPlus Pharmacy in Suite 245 of our building is providing Moderna Covid vaccine for children 6 mos and older. Please call them at 424-206-1271 for an appt. We currently DO NOT have any Covid vaccine in our office.
- For those children 3yrs and older, you may continue to get the vaccine at your local pharmacy and through www.myturn.ca.gov. The 5-11 yr old group will receive Pfizer vaccine, 2 doses, 3+ weeks apart, or 5-6 yr old may also receive the Moderna 2 doses, 4 weeks apart. If your child has already had the previous series, only one dose of the current vaccine is needed (at least 2 months after last dose).
